At 23, Lavinia Hope, better known as LAVINIA, is already behind songs heard by millions. Now, the singer-songwriter who has worked with John Summit, Timmy Trumpet, Sean Paul, and Ely Oaks is stepping into a new role: DJane.
Born in Italy, raised in the United Kingdom, and based in Germany since her teenage years, LAVINIA’s path into music has always crossed borders. Songwriting first became an outlet while she was adapting to a new language and environment, eventually developing into the foundation of a career that has taken her from writing sessions to international charts, major electronic collaborations, and numerous festival stages.
The numbers tell part of that story. With more than 540 million streams overall, LAVINIA has already built an impressive global footprint. “Borderline,” her collaboration with Ely Oaks, has surpassed 180 million streams on Spotify and became an international chart success, reaching #17 on the German Singles Chart, #12 on the Austrian Singles Chart, and #35 on the UK Official Singles Chart.
Then came “Shadows” with John Summit, which brought LAVINIA to the US charts for the first time. The collaboration reached #9 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart and also charted on the WARM Global Dance Radio Charts, introducing her voice and songwriting to an even wider audience. Their connection later moved beyond the studio with a live appearance at Tofte Manor in Bedfordshire, England, a historic 17th-century manor that has become a distinctive setting for electronic music events. LAVINIA appeared as part of John Summit’s Experts Only UK debut, a two-stage event presented by Labyrinth in the English countryside.
Her work has also reached one of electronic music’s most recognizable festival brands. LAVINIA teamed up with Ely Oaks for two official Tomorrowland songs. “Same Thing,” created specifically for Tomorrowland Belgium 2025 through the Tomorrowland Music x SoundOn songwriter camp, was released via Tomorrowland Music / SoundOn. The pair reunited for “Dumb Decisions” in 2026, released through JINX Music under exclusive license to Tomorrowland Music / SoundOn. Together, the releases add another international chapter to a catalog increasingly connected to major artists, labels, events, and audiences.
But 2026 is showing another side of Lavinia Hope.
After years of building her name through vocals and songwriting, she is now moving behind the decks and developing herself as a DJane and performing artist in her own right. It is less a reinvention than an expansion of what was already there: the instincts developed through songwriting, vocals, electronic production, and years spent working alongside established dance artists are now becoming part of her own live identity.
Her schedule is beginning to reflect that shift. With performances expanding across Europe and bookings alongside artists including Martin Garrix and Timmy Trumpet, LAVINIA is taking a career largely built inside studios and on records into a much more visible live chapter.
