Paradoks and Jono Stephenson Unite for ‘Pulling Me To You’ Ft. Frynn on Purified Records

Purified family members Paradoks and Jono Stephenson join forces for their outstanding debut collaboration, Pulling Me To You – out now on Purified Records.

Expertly blending their individual sounds in sonic harmony, the producers devise a euphoric soundscape that transports listeners to a sky-high dimension. Completed by Frynn’s majestic and instantly recognizable vocals, the track exudes a timeless feel and has created an instant connection with audiences around the world with its power and grace.

Speaking about the release, Paradoks mentioned,

“I was a big fan of Frynn’s vocals since hearing ‘Many Times’ with Camelphat & Mathame. I reached out to her, and a few hours later she sent me a first demo of ‘Pulling Me to You.’ The vocals inspired me to create a melodic techno tune around it, but 19 versions and a few weeks later I still wasn’t convinced with the final result.

In March, I met Jono in LA and as we spoke music over lunch, I showed him the track and we decided to collaborate on it. Two weeks later we played together in Purified South Africa, so it was natural that we’d send it to Nora once finished.

We sat together on it for quite a few sessions and even restarted a couple of times, but it was worth the work and I’m thrilled with the final result: an emotionally moving and lyrically powerful track perfect for euphoric moments on the dancefloor or wherever you listen to it.”  – Paradoks

Jono Stephenson mentioned,

“Kobe and I spoke for a while on how we should make a track that connects deeply within us as human beings – something that touches your emotions and takes you away from the world’s struggles for a moment” – Jono Stephenson

The Pulling Me To You artwork features an underwater still of the ocean, captured by Daniel Nicholson. Warming waters, driven by climate change, are causing significant disruptions in our oceans, impacting marine life and ecosystems. As ocean temperatures rise, species are forced to migrate to cooler areas, altering traditional habitats and breeding grounds. Coral reefs, crucial for marine biodiversity, are experiencing severe bleaching, leading to the loss of vital ecosystems that many marine creatures rely on. Additionally, the melting of polar ice caps due to warming waters contributes to rising sea levels, threatening coastal communities and habitats. These temperature shifts disrupt food chains, impacting fish populations and the fishing industries dependent on them. If current trends persist, the future health of our oceans and the balance of marine life will be at grave risk, with far-reaching consequences for global ecosystems and human societies.
